Blog: Dish Washing
I am going to endeavor to try and curb my whining in these blogs. With that being said though, this week started with me having several rather painful mouth and tongue ulcers. I'm not super surprised: it's just a thing that happens from time to time when I get a bit stressed and the spec script I was working on was doing exactly that to me. So around Tuesday or Wednesday I actually finished a draft that was a real draft. As in, it was a draft with properly written out scene description and dialogue: no place holder dialogue and scene description devoid of any actual description. So basically, I completed a draft that could be read by other human beings. Not that any other human being should read it but, that's beside the point.
This is all to say that after finishing it and putting it down for a few days my mouth ulcers disappeared which, was actually a very pleasant surprise. It also gave me a chance to work on some other submission materials and spec stuff and gave me a chance to reflect on some of the more convoluted elements of my spec.
In conclusion, while I might not be any less of a talent-less hack as I was at the start of the week, at least I'm not actively making myself sick over it at the minute.
Get down with the sickness.
