Blog: Mr. Hollywood
So I’ve been thinking a lot about noses in character designs. I never really bothered drawing them because I wanted my characters to be as minimalistic as possible but after having to spend more time drawing characters side on I’m now of the opinion that profiles look really weird without noses. I’m not sure why it bothers me so much in my work but I couldn’t care less when I see it on South Park. Maybe because South Park is quantifiably better in every possible way.
In conclusion not a lot else happened this week; handed in my notice (because I acquired a better paying job), got a tablet, worked on Cartoon Hangover pitch stuff. Incidentally in trying to prepare I’ve been scouring the internet trying to find other peoples failed pitches so when I inevitably fall short I might put up the fruits of labour and the reasons for my rejection. Pay it forward and what not.
Got your nose.
