Self expression is great but it does open up the possibility that people won't like what you self expressed. And of course if people don't like your deeply personal work then logically they mustn't like you either. I know it doesn't really work like that but it's hard not to take it personally when your deeply personal work is made the subject of fun or ridicule. I'm always a little bit worried when friends or family see something I've made or had a hand in making because, I want them to like it. As you can imagine with something that I do by myself like this comic I'm always super worried when people I know read it that I'll inevitably get an email or a text or God forbid a phone call where I'm asked; what was I thinking making something so obviously terrible. And then everyone else who isn't a friend or family member who reads it feels exactly the same. In conclusion I really don't like some aspects of self expression but, I have no other discernible life skills so, I guess I'm either going to be a successful writer or a struggling vagabond.

What I do have are a very particular set of skills.
